GST

 Meaning:

GST (Goods and Services Tax) is a single, unified indirect tax that is applied to the supply of goods and services across India. It replaced multiple taxes like VAT, service tax, and excise duty. In simple words, GST is a tax you pay when you buy goods or services.

Example:

If you buy a toy for ₹500, and the GST is 18%, you will pay ₹590 in total.

How to understand GST:

GST makes buying things easier because there is only one tax.
It helps the government collect money to provide public services.

Importance of GST:

GST simplifies the tax system and makes prices clearer for consumers.
